Hi
I just bought Silverjuke and am trying to get the old-style jukebox skin installed and working....no matter what I do it isn't working....please HELP!!!!

Normally, just clicking onto a *.sjs link should do the job, however here are the steps in details:
- Go to the
- Right click onto the "Download" link and select "Save target as" from the context menu
- Save the file "old-style-jukebox-1.00.sjs" to the directory where "Silverjuke.exe" is placed (eg. "C:Program filesSilverjuke")
- Start or restart Silverjuke
- In Silverjuke, click with the right mouse button anywhere into the main window and select "Settings..." from the context menu
- In the settings dialog, select the page "View"
- In this list, now two skins should appear - "Silveriness" and "Old Style Jukebox". To use the latter, just click on its title and finally hit the "OK" button.
Please let me know if there are any problems left.

Skins
I'm having the same problem loading skins.
I have the skin files in the correct directory,
but no matter what, Silverjuke does not list
them, even after clicking "Update".
I'm using the trial version with Windows ME.
Is skinning not available in the trial version?

- Is the file really placed in one of the paths listed in "Settings / View settings / Skins (Click right on a skin) / Info (Scroll down)". By clicking onto a search path's name, the Explorer is opened with this path, so you can easily check if the skin is in the correct path.
- Does Silverjuke display any error message? Do you use the newest Silverjuke version?
If you've checked all these points and skins were still not loaded, do not hesitate to post a message to this forum again.

This threw me off for a bit...even after I read this topic. But then I realized that the files downloaded into a ".zip" format. Weird, since the link on the website actually does go to a ".sjs" file. Guess it must be some security thing in IE. How annoying. So everyone needs to make sure they go into the folder where they saved the skin files and change the file extensions from ".zip" to ".sjs".
If you don't see the file extensions at the end of the file (.zip or .sjs), you'll also need to enable the display of file extensions. Open Windows Explorer (My Computer or any folder, etc.) click Tools -> Folder Options. Once that window pulls up go to the "View" tab and scroll down in the "Advanced Settings" window and make sure "Hide file extensions for known file types" is UNchecked. Then you can go change the extension.
