Could you please tell me how to change the default album cover when the software can't find one?

AFAIK the default cover is generated automatically - different colors and fonts for different artists/albums - and cannot be changed therefore.

To select a new cover for a specific album, right click the (missing) cover and choose "Select cover > Paste or Browse".

Mine doesn't take the generic default automatically, which is what I want it to do, it takes another cover that I got off the internet and uses that one as the default for all new additions to the library. So I end up with many covers of the same album for all different artists.

Did you have a look at "Settings > My music library > Combine tracks to albums > Keywords to identify covers for an album"?
If your "correct" covers contain a phrase or a suffix or sth. like that, you should add it here.

Sorry, but I don't think I understand. I want to take the "abstract" as a dfault if it does not recognize a cover. Right now it takes the last cover copied.
