I love the look and feel of this software. Just found it the other day.
I have imported my LARGE collection of music into it and keep getting memory errors while trying to move around and select different songs. It seems as if I get the errors when I am scrolling left and right to get to different albums to choose different songs. It also seems to occur more when I am playing a song than not, but I am not totally positive about that one.
I get this message when I re-start Silverjuke after the error (attached).
Also, Is there a keyboard shortcut to bring up the virtual keyboard to do a search? have looked some, but have not found it yet.
thanks

Re: continual memory errors and a question
The object described in the given alert should not be the problem, I think it is one of the music tracks in your collection.
You should try to locate the track(s) with the errors(s) by adding smaller portions of your collection. Eg. the first half and see if there is an error - if there is none, you can assume the error is in the second half and so on.
To the keyboard: Why would you need a shortcut to open the virtual keyboard that is normally used only if there is *no* keyboard present?

Re: continual memory errors and a question
to be able to map it with uIce so I can control it with an MCE remote. that is the only downside I have found with this software. No native supprt (that I have found in the short time I have had it) for a Remote Control. I am integrating this software into a home theatre. This will be a dedicated jukebox. Only thing it will do. So I need to be able to do all the functions with a Remote.
Come to think of it, I did get an error whe importing the music... thanks for the tip...

Hi, I think if you want to make appears the virtual keyboard, that means that you are in "touch screen" mode; so you have to go with your finger on the little "search" area in the upper right corner ! You click into that field, and the keyboard appears, maybe another way to do this ?

Re: continual memory errors and a question
Well, the bigger problem is that you can't use an MCE remote to select the keys on the virtual keyboard. I did some testing and found this out last night.
I wish this product would support controlling it from an MCE remote (or others). HUGE market for this in the Home theatre industry (I install home theatre systems).
Is it possible to get all of the functionality of this product with a Remote? Also, would be nice to be able to Rip CD's. And would also be nice if it could manage\control the sony 400-disc changer with RS232 support. If those 3 things were in this software, I could sell 20 of them in the next month easily. Probably 50-60 of them per year.

Re: continual memory errors and a question
Oh, and on my error I am getting, it is only when I use the MCE remote to control the scrolling of the songs. with the keyboard, I can scroll all day long and not have an issue. the MCE remote seems to scroll a LOT faster than the keyboard does. I am thinking this is the issue, not my song collection.
Re: continual memory errors and a question
For a remote control without a "standard mouse": Have you tries the "Numpad options"? (see )

Re: continual memory errors and a question
Here is my situation. I don't have a touch screen, I don't have a keyboard. I have a remote control (any really, just using the MCE remote as an example because it is what I am testing with, but a high end remote, not junk, and I know the MCE remote is junk, but the kind of remote is really irrellevant). If someone can tell me how to get the full functionality of silverjuke using JUST a remote, I could sell 20 licenses of this within a month.
My trial period is going to expire before I can figure this all out though. not going to buy software to find it won't work for my needs (or my customers needs).
any and all help appreciated.
