Reset Search Box

After playing with SJ in kiosk mode for myself and for parties, one thing I thought would be really useful is the option to reset the search box after a certain period of time.

Often, someone would use the search box to filter the music selection to a particular artist, enqueue the music they want, and then walk away. The next person to come up to the machine wouldn't realize that the music had been filtered and it caused some confusion.

If there were an advanced option to reset ("remove") the search/filter and return to the full list of music after a specified period of time, that would be a wonderful enhancement!

Maybe you could modify your skin and size up the font of the searchinfo box until some solution is provided by silverjuke.

Maybe the option at "Playback / Automatic control / Further options / Go to current track after ... minutes of inactivity" alrady fits your needs. If enabled, the "simple search" is cleared if the currently running track is not in the result.
