The old Silverjuke worked wonderfully for me, but when I updated to a beta version, I encountered a lot of static during playback.
I then went back to the old version awaiting the official release. Unfortunately, with 2.0, I get the same thing, annoying static....
Help!
Static in playback?

I can hear the music, with a large amount of noise along with it.

Its as if the volume is set very high producing EXTREME volume and distortion on my computer speakers, but my actual volume is set very low.
The volume control in Silverjuke 2.0 does not work, and the only way I can reduce the level is with the
"Master Volume" control in Windows. But even with it set low, I still get the distortion.
When I go back to version 1.22, everything is okay. (I have both versions installed).
My sound driver (on board audio) is Nvidia.

Re: Static in playback?
Have you tried to use the switches ? Please also try the hardware flag there. Maybe this helps.

Re: Static in playback?
Unchecking "Use Hardware" fixed it.

The most common reason for this are bugs in the soundcard driver. But there may be other reasons - this is why we have this switch. You may consider to update your drivers and try the "Use Hardware" flag again, however - never change a running system
And the advantages of using the hardware directly may be very low; Silverjuke 1.x has never used the hardware directly.
