New Beta: Silverjuke 16.5.3 reads UPnP/DLNA servers

Hello together!

We have good news for you: After some months of development and figuring things out, it is finally there: The brand new Silverjuke beta introduces UPnP/DLNA support!

This means, you can not only use your local music folders and files but also any UPnP/DLNA server - just add the server to the list of sources at "Settings / Music library / Add source". You can also mix servers and local folders and you can use more than one server. The Linux version even plays videos this way.

EDIT: Updated the beta to 16.5.3 with the possibility to write files from scripts and some minor fixes.

It is not detecting my Synology diskstation. DLNA is running. Anything I could do?

When entering the IP address of the diskstation, it worked. Perfect !

But still more I am interested in function "Play to a DLNA client". Is this also possible and what have I to do to activate?

When I try to add the music library and select Add DLNA server it crashes out, my server is a Zyxel NSA 325 V2 - it detects the NSA but then just crashes, displays 15 messages but I can't expand them as the program crashes before I can look at the messages - I'm running Windows 10.
I added a single folder to see if this made the DB but it now crashes as soon as I select DLNA :(


Just managed to look at the error - UPnp Error: Cannot download device description: UPNP_E_SOCKET (Error -204)

MMM, went back in and although it crashed, it added the DLNA server and appears to be adding the tracks now, back in a while, I've got a few hundred thousand tracks for it to index :)
