crashing on directory add

hey all,

i'm new to this forum, thanks for having me.

i downloaded SilverJuke121b4. installed it easily, then when i open windows explorer and attempt to drag a driectory into the main window: here's what i get...

it starts to add the songs, gets to about song #20 or so and gives me

"Silverjuke 1.21beta4 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

i can only add about 10 songs at the most before it crashes. any ideas?

i have amd3800+, gig ram, windows media center.

Hello mmadden,

first, welcome to the forum. To your post:

If you start Silverjuke the next time, does Silverjuke print a message about the prior error in the form "Last time Silverjuke does not terminate correctly..."? If so, this message may give you a hint about the file that may have caused the problem.

If there is no such message, I would try to add another set of tracks and see what's happens then.

here's the message sj gave upon re-running the program...

"use maybe errorous objects?

last time sj did not terminate normally.
the following - maybe errorour - objects were in use just before the abnormal termination:

c:\program files\winamp\plugins\in_mp3.dll (Quit)

on continuous problems, try to avoid using these objects.
do you want to use the objects this time?

yes no"

thoughts?

i'll try adding a different directory but as it stands i only have one mp3 dir. i could break it up into chunks or something.

tried again and got this message on re-run...

id3lib (read)

We've just changed some things in the scanning process these days - can you please try again with the new Version 1.22rc1 which is available in the (log-in required)?

However, if the probem is still there in the new version, please contact us again
