How can I tell if my system is saving autovolume information into the database?
Usually a song will play for several seconds before autovolume kicks in; this can be very jarring as the song suddenly changes volume. Is there any way for Silverjuke to scan my music library and save autovolume information for each song.
Autovolume info? Prescan possible?
Re: Autovolume info? Prescan possible?
For this purpose, rhere is a script available in the german forum:

Thanks. I grabbed the script and used Babelfish to read the posts. One thing I'm unclear about; will updating the music database (F5) cause the autovolume info to be reset, or does it only happen when I recreate the music databe (Shift + F5)?

Re: Autovolume info? Prescan possible?
It worked but was problematic, Martin. There is a memory leak in the script which will crash the program eventually. It took about 45 minutes to an hour for my Silverjuke to crash. You can stop the memory leak by simply aborting the scan and restarting it, so if you're around to baby the script, it works fine. But you can't let it run overnight, for example, so it takes a while to get through a large library.
You can safely update the music database (F5) without affecting the autovolume, but I assume recreating it (Shift + F5) will reset it.
