Hello,
I am trialling the software and I seem to be having an issue where Silverjuke is not recognising the tag data on my FLAC files.
I have checked the files in Tag&Rename and the album and artist info is defintely there - just not seen / used / displayed on Silverjuke.
Any ideas ?
Thanks,
Joe

Re: OGG / FLAC Tag Data
Currently, the only possibility to read meta-information from non-MP3-files (or non-ID3-files) is the file name. However, OGG and FLAC files can be played using the correspondung modules and, for the foreseeable future, we've planned at least a better OGG-support for Silverjuke.

Re: OGG / FLAC Tag Data
Dear Mr,
Even so I prefer your software to MediaMonkey, I will never use a software that do not allow to rip and manage perfect copy of my audio cd (e.g. use and tag FLAC or other).
Cordially.

Re: OGG / FLAC Tag Data
So basically, if you keep your music in a folder titled "Music" try looking for your .flac and .ogg albums under "M". Or if your music folder is called "Albums" look for the aformentioned formats under "A".
Is this a problem that can be addressed with a patch? Will this be fixed in upcoming releases/versions?
This is probably the only issue preventing me from purchasing Silverjuke. I spent a lot of time taging my music files. For an application not to utilize that information, especially an alphbetized jukebox application, makes this little more than a project in testing. I cannot consider this a product to purchase when it cannot properly read or file half of my music collection.
Don't get me wrong, I really like it so far, but I just can't recommend it with these kind of problems. I will gladly pay for this software when this flaw is fixed.

Re: OGG / FLAC Tag Data
The next version of Silverjuke will be Silverjuke 1.22 (is already in the release queue). Currently we are working on a better format support, which will be availabale in the version coming after 1.22 including ...
- The capability to read and write Tags of MP3, OGG, FLAC and MPC files
- Tags will be read from WMA files
- Better playback support for these files
We think this will fix some of the problems mentioned above.
