The reason for automatic increment might seen laziness (which in my case some people here seem to find believable...

) but it is more a matter of not knowing when to stop adding optional items. I'd like to create skins usable from 800x600 to 1920x1080 and even be prepared for any future resolution. I know this is for a lot of designs unrealistic, but when trying out skins I just wonder why I can't just resize a vertical playlist from a few lines minimum up to the complete screensize. Certainly when trying to create a somewhat bigger playlist intended to be stored for future storage I really can image the user wanting to see more than the usual 6 lines.
But reading the window size and in script turning elements on/off (and in the case of the playlist items having the scrollbar etc. adapt correctly to the changed amount of items visible) would be a fantastic (and maybe realizable, Team?) start.
