i'd like the ability to switch to the FX-Option-Site by Hotkey and/or by Skin-Engine-Command :)

IMHO the new "List-View" shows the need to rework the search-engine even more than before Every single tag can be shown in this view but there is no easy way to search a "comment", "group" (...) or combination of tags - this would be a great improvement to the "nearly-perfect App"

dunno if it was already read by you Devs but a "mouse-over-in-cover-view-shows-album-content" would by a nice thing

the option "show cover" (alt+c) is now saved for the "normal-view" and the "list-view" seperatly. this would be also useful (by option) for the font/cover-size in the different views.

You can open the settings dialog by Hotkeys (eg. ALT+Enter) or Skin-Targets (target="settings"); as the settings dialog remembers the last selected page, this is close to your idea.

Opening a concrete settings page is not possible as we do not want to have too many dependencies between the "skinned forend" and the "settings backend" - otherwise we may run into problems if one of both changes.

We should avoid creating new features that shows the lack of others ... but you are right, an update of the search engine will probably be one of the next "greater" things after the next official release. Btw: All tags can be accessed using .

Yes, we've read the request.

Our current idea for this is to keep the font- and cover-sizes linked between all views except for the cover-size of the cover-view. But as we've not started programming anything in this direction - maybe there are other ideas?

Yes, i know.... i love this feature and have nearly 70 (!) different selections. to select one o them is what could be made a bit easier (scroll,scroll,scroll).
*maybe* just the "Music-Selection"-command could be put into a skin-engine-command (without search) - nearly possible now
*maybe#2* the font-size of the context-menu could be handled more flexible (even more scrolling but better reading on 8" lcds ) - by setup-option?
*maybe#3* the music-selections could be put in "sub-folders" by creating "Selections" with "MyGroup\MySelection" in the Name, so everything could be placed more sorted than now with a kind of "pull-out"-menu - know what i mean?

well, my suggestions'll never end - may be the result of using SJ hours a day

I'm not sure if I really understand what you mean - just opening the Music Selection dialog via a skin button is already possible by .

In the next version, there will be an option that allows using the font (size) defined at "Settings/View" also in the context menus. I think, this is an easy solution - if the album list is large enough and readable, the context menus will be too

No, I think, this has nothing to do with the BMP's - the error message just writes out what has been read last and what may cause problems from the view of the programmer.

The problem may be the new tag handling; can you reproduce the behavoir for any file/tag? However, we will also have an additional look at the sources here.

Well, I think, this is a general windows-/network-related problem. Can't this be solved by a little batch file that reads a file from the network and waits a moment? Maybe in the Autostart-folder?

FYI - their is an issue with updating the library, when i attempt to update my music library the program locks up and crashes. i had to uninstall and reinstall 1.22 so i could update, then go back and install the new 1.5b3
