Hello,
under [file no longer available] you'll find a new Version of Silverjuke which includes an improved virtual keyboard (see "Settings/Kiosk mode/Virtual keyboard") and some autmatic-control options (see "Settings/Playback/Automatic control").
Any comments about the new functionality are welcome and needed; the official next version will be released in the next days.
The changes in details:
- Added a virtual keyboard which is useful esp. in combination with touchscreens or if no physical keyboard is present (see "Settings/Kiosk mode/Virtual keyboard")
- Silverjuke can now automatically play songs if the playlist is empty, can follow the playlist or can start/stop the visualization automatically, see "Settings/Playback/Automatic control"
- The cover size can be adjusted independently of the column width (see "Settings/View/Font and cover")
- French language support added (thanks to Claude Sturzel)
- After the player is stopped and started again, already played tracks in the playlist are no longer played again if "repeat" is off; please enable the repeat function to get this behaviour
- Music selections can be opened directly from the kiosk functionality page now
- In skin "Silveriness": If wanted, the kiosk mode shows the visualization, play, prev/next and volume controls now
- Skin outlines are no longer shown when loading an erroneous skin, only an error message is printed
- Visualization is stopped if one of the "A-Z" buttons is clicked

I've just played around with the new 1.03 version. Very nice improvements!
The independently adjustment of the cover size is working really well. So it's much easier with small screens. When the cover is smaller as the column width, the cover is right aligned - maybe a center alignment would be better?
I adjusted that visualization is activated after 2 minutes (kiosk mode). Is it
intentionally that the visualization can be only terminated through a click on the letters? It would be better, if it's terminated immediately after a click somewhere on the screen...
In the middle of July I have a party and I am very curious how much the guests like Silverjuke.

It is left aligned, however, i also tried to center the cover in the column but i found it nicer to have it in one line with the track list.

The vis. can also be terminated by clicking onto the little "x" in the upper-right corner or by hitting ESC. But you are right, especially in the kiosk-mode the vis. should be terminated by clicking everywhere. This will be added in the official release (1.04, I think)

Hmm, when I click onto the "x" the vis. stops for only 1 second and starts again... a bug?

Trouble loading tracks
This is an odd error. Sometimes, especially when I'm in kiosk mode, I have tracks that won't select. When you click on them, they won't highlight, and they can't be added to the queue. If I exist kiosk mode and look at the properties of a track (it seems any other track works), I can then select those tracks again -- or if I search for the track information, I can add it to the queue.
There may be a simple solution I'm missing, but I wanted to let you know.

Can this behaviour be reproduced with a concrete file? If so, please mail the file to drsilverATsilverjuke.net
