Well I do have to run it as sudo silverjuke to start the program..which I find strange..why would I need root privileges to run silverjuke?
What is more strange is that I don't have to so that when using the MATE desktop. It installs fine runs without sudo and even makes a application launcher in the menu. When using siverjuke in LXDE however I MUST sudo silverjuke to run it and there is no menu launcher. I find the very odd.
This happens with normal 64-bit desktop and the raspberry pi (3) Either from the repository or from compiled source.

Re: have to sudo (run as root)??
I am having the same problem under Lubuntu 17.04 & 17.10 64 bit
This has prevented me from being able to launch in startup to build a kiosk machine.
