Prelistening, reinvented

If you select "Prelisten" from the context menu, the normal playback continues and the selected track is played additionally ...

- on an separate output
- as a mix overlay
- on the left/right channel

... and shown as an overlay in the display:

The left/right channel options allow to add a speaker to one stereo channel and a headphone to the other - this way you have real prelistening on any sound hardware!

The new feature is available in Silverjuke 16.3 and newer.

Hello SilverJuke Team and users.

I am running Silverjuke on an old Dell desktop with a C-Media USB soundcard connected. To prelisten I would like to use exactly that soundcard. Unfortuately I don´t have a clue how to get it working in Linux (Ubuntu 16.04 64bit).

I also have Mixxx installed and there I can use the USB thing for the headphone.

I also was able to use a command line to get the alsasink pipeline using the dongle. But I wasn´t able to use the alsasink in Silverjuke. Any suggestions?
