Did you try installing other jukebox software before trying out Silverjuke? If so maybe one of them installed a driver or global shortcut to mute the volume. Silverjuke could handle such a shortcut, maybe other jukeboxes do the same and something went wrong with their deinstallation?

I did try some others, this has been a problem before I tried uninstalling the others I wasn't using though. The only program that muted or changed the volume automatically is SilvlerJuke though of any I have tried. :(

...disabling SJ's volume control at settings->playback->automatic control->volume control->volume control?

I hate to say it, but I am out of ideas. :( Not only have I tried all this but I even tried another soundcard and have the same problem. Videos, games, other audio programs; none of them do an automatic mute the way Silverjuke does in kiosk mode. :(

Do you by any change have a second computer, or maybe you can try it on someone else's computer? Or maybe test it in a virtual machine (VMware is fine)? Not as a solution I mean, just to see if it behaves normally for you on another machine.
What OS do you use? Could you post (or PM me) the output of tasklist /svc?
