Re: remote control
Hi cyrilius4,
what do you mean exactly:
remote control: to control Silverjuke which is running on one computer via another computer (master/slave configuration). In this case: Sir SilverEagle made a plugin for this. You can find it
remote control: to control Silverjuke via a RF or IR remote control while you are sitting on the couch and drinking a beer (like the remote control you have for your TV). This is realized by a lot of peolpe here in the forum. I personally use a modified remote control like this one here:
and I mapped the function with the software Grider. And I printed a label for the buttons, so I have now a Silverjuke remote control:

Re: remote control
This one is the one I bought. The dealer (linux4media) is very friendly and helped me a lot.
I bought the remote control elsewhere, but bought the receiver at this place.
FYI: If you want one, do not wait too long, as these are not longer produced, and the guy is only selling the ones he has still in stock (less than 50 the last time I comunicated with him). But I have no clue how much he is selling per week.
Sh*t, the link does not work. Go to ebay.de and search for "iTv"

Re: remote control
ok, thank you so much fenchy, really helpfull as usual.
I asked the seller if he does shipping to france. I'll see if it's possible and i'll get one if does.
Whick OS are you using ? i have win XP, do you think it's easy to set up. I think i have to use girder or evenghost, is that right ? Does it work as well on vista ?
You said you got the receiver through him, but i think one usb receiver comes with the remote.
If i get one, i might ask you a favour, a copy of the print you've done...
Thank you so much
Cyril

He will, he did it for me, so why not for you!

I'm running Win XP, not clue about Vista (and no intention to go). Yes you need Girder or EventGhost. I haven't tried EventGhost, but if you can find a HID driver it should work. I'm using Girder with HID interface to get the remote running. It's a little bit wired, because the software which is handling the remote control is "limited", so it took me a while to get it run, but now it's running. No problem, I will give you the way to get it done. Afterwards we will create the club of "Silverjuke iTv remote controlers"
I know another one here in the forum using the iTv remote control. If we are more than 10 perhaps we will get our own forum

yes I've got his receiver (the one he is selling with the remote control). It seems that there is one which should be easier to program (called "Sconi" or so), but I do not have it, and I do not know whether you can still find it on the market.

Sure, I did it in Photoshop (but any other graphics program will be good enough). Most difficult point is to make the holes for the buttons. I "hacked" a office hole puncher for doing this job. Printed out on photo paper (with a laser printer) and glued with normal paper glue. Took me a while to find the right scale, but now I have it.
