Hello Jud0726,

first: Welcome aboard!

To your question, why WMA-tags are not written:

Well the answer is simple. Silverjuke currently has read-only support for files using WMA-tags. Writing tags is supported for MP3, OGG, FLAC, MPC and some others.

You can update the information in Silverjuke, but they are written only to the internal database, then.

Best regards,
Your Silverjuke-Team

Thanks for the response. I'll edit my wma tags in an external editor then do an update in SilverJuke - that should solve the problem. BTW, I'm ripping in mp3 from now on.

Just thought of something else. What's the purpose of the "include folder to the update process" option in the settings?
Thanks again.

Ignore the last post. I think I've figured it out. I should deselect that option for my folders with wma files, if I'm reading it correctly.

Yes. The option can be used to protect database changes from being overwritten with externaldata plus the option can be used to speed up the update process (as the files must not be read again).
