Hello,
Just discovered your program and am very impressed! Very slick interface! One thing that would make my life a lot easier is if I had some ability use Playlists to dictate the Music Selection process. I.e. make a playlist of 10 albums or so and then tell the Music Selection dialog to only include tracks contained in the Playlist.
The "Tracks in Queue" is close to what I want to do, but I'm using this with the Kiosk Mode and I don't want the Queue list to be populated with all those tracks (especially since there's no "Clear Playlist" button in the Kiosk Mode). If there was a Clear Playlist button in the Kiosk mode I could go through this process and just have open the playlist in Silverjuke and then do the "Tracks in Queue" selection, but it's not as slick.
A bit of an idea of what I'm using this for might help. I'm running a small music store for my church and I'd like to setup a listening station. For the most part, I'll probably only want to have CDs in there that are actually in stock. So what I'd like to be able to do is limit the Kiosk Selection to a number of albums that don't really have anything in common (in the ID3 tags and filenames, etc.), but that are in stock.
So here's what I'm thinking would be easiest. I could go through and create a playlist of all the albums (actually of the tracks on those albums) I have in stock currently (this I can do easily). Then I'd like to limit the Music Selection to that Playlist. I think this would be the smoothest way to go with it, unless you have some other way I can just run through the library and select only particular albums for the Selection. Any ideas?
It would seem to me that it'd take using the same process as the "Tracks in Queue" selection, but just having it checked against a playlist rather than the "queue playlist." Cause that's all the current queue is, right? A playlist? But I only have limited programming experience.
I could also see this being really useful if someone wanted to make a playlist of their favorites for particular moods...then they can pick from that.
Ok, really long post...Thanks so much! I am very impressed thus far and will most likely purchase this software, but this ability would make the purchase come much quicker! Thanks!

ok, ok...found a fix...
After searching around a bit in the forum I found out about the Include/Exclude Tracks feature. Works pretty good for what I want to do...just do "Include Tracks" and select the albums I want. It might still be kind of cool to see if you could do the selections based on playlists though. Let me know what you think. Thanks!

First I want to thank you for your interest. As you've already found a solution yourown, there's not much I can add here - only one point left:

If I understand you correctly, you'd like to add any external playlist (eg. *.m3u-files) be be used as an criterion for music selections? Maybe this is a nice feature, we'll check this.
As a workaroud (I'm not sure you described the same think above) you can open any external playlist just by pressing CTRL-O, create a music selection with "Titles in playlist" and then insert all tracks to another music selection of your choice.
