I've seen this question asked multiple times on this forum, but not very thoroughly answered. As the topic says, I'm trying to play WMA files with DRM in Silverjuke, but get the dreaded 'Playback Error 41'. I just want to know if there is anything I can do to get this to work, or if it depends on the developers adding this kind of support?
The last few days I've been looking around the net and tested quite a lot of Jukebox applications, but I must say that I think Silverjuke is by far the best and most simple to use. Unfortunately, without DRM support it's a no-go for me.
Since I have literally over a million song downloads available for free, but with built-in DRM, I don't really see why I should buy music without DRM elsewhere. Besides, I'm not really interested in removing the DRM, as the methods I've found seem quite time/cpu-consuming anyway.
Thanks in advance!

WMA files and DRM - Playback Error 41
Re: WMA files and DRM - Playback Error 41
Hello Michael -
Silverjuke does not really support DRM-protected files.
search.php?keywords=drm
If you own such files you should consider to get rid of the protection and buy plain MP3-files for newer things. Beside the Silverjuke-issue, DRM is NOT really future save.

B.

Re: WMA files and DRM - Playback Error 41
Hello B
Thanks for your reply. I admit that my general opinion on DRM is that it is the work of the devil, however, as I explained in my first post, my Internet subscription allows me to download a lot of music legally and for free. The only setback being the DRM that is tagged to this music.
I have been looking around on the forums, and my initial thought is that Silverjuke does not support DRM, but I haven't seen it confirmed anywhere by the staff. This is what made me ask a question that has been asked a few times before.
I simply ask for confirmation on whether or not it is or will be supported, or maybe even a workaround.
Thanks!
