Equalizer settings responsive to Genre, when set.

Hi SilverJuke team

I have always been wondered, if it wasn´t possible to get a equalizer able to "follow" the music. What I mean by that is, when equalizer is turned on and playin rock, set the equalizer to rock, and when Genre: pop change to Pop.

I don´t know if thats a good idea, or if its better to turn off the equalizer completely. I just find that some music sounds better with it on, and set to the right kind of music.

What do other users do ?

i never use eq's. only when i have a big set-up for a party. then i have big hornspeakers standing outside the building

I think, using an equalizer on playback, should mainly compensate weakness of the speakers and/or the room.

As these weakness do not change between genres, multiple eq settings are not really needed, IMHO.
