I'm facing the problem that I can't use one Album Artist in combination with different artists per song, for example: the Rolling Stones could have an album which is called "Beautifull Duets" released 2007, in that case I see the album as: Rolling Stones Beautifull Duets (2007), so far so good,
but if I change the artist per song to: track 1 Rolling Stones ft. U2 track 2 Rolling Stones ft Boy George etc. than the album artist is no longer valid and disappears, so it looks like: Beautifull Duets (2007), so the album is not longer listed as an Rolling Stones album, what can I do to change this???
One Album Artist, different Artist per song
Re: One Album Artist, different Artist per song
There is nothing like an editable "Album Artist", the albums are created by different settings, see

For your question, note the "Compilation" setting described in the link above, maybe the search function here in the forum can also give you some tips.
Regards,
B.

You can change that by changing your tags. In this case it will be,
Track 1
Artist: Rolling Stones
Org Artist: Rolling Stones ft. U2
Track 2
Artist: Rolling Stones
Org Artist: Rolling Stones ft. Boy George
Track 1
Artist: Rolling Stones
Org Artist: Rolling Stones ft. U2
Track 2
Artist: Rolling Stones
Org Artist: Rolling Stones ft. Boy George

Thanx, that is a possibility, but when playing the tracks that information is not shown.
I specialy have the need for this, when a album is played where some of the tracks are live (artist tag is than filled by me like: Rolling Stones Live)and the other tracks are studio versions. (artist tag: Rolling Stones)
While listening it is not listed if the track is live or not

With the next update, you have the option to display the genre and/or any comments in the track list. Maybe this helps - the currently playing song is only one click away (click on "go to current track") - you simply use the "follow playlist" option at "Automatic control > Further options".

Thanx, that is a possibility, but when playing the tracks that information is not shown.
You can make it visible
The example is in Dutch. But I think it's clear If the columm is not visible you can change that by right click on titel, choose org artist.
The only downside, you can't use the search for that. I hope that will change in the future.
