Switch music selection

Hello, bought Silverjuke today!
First off, its a great piece of software, thank you so very much!
I like the way its very "clean", "functional" and "good looking" - keep it that way dont add to much applications (convertors,editors and such) or if you do always keep it a option to "design" your own layout.

So as you would know by now I am very satisfied already with the program.
However everything can get even better!
My wish is to be able to control silverjuke only by remote (which I almost already do - specific search needs a keybord but thats ok).
One function I would really like to have, is a small display (could be optional to display it?) showing which music selection you playing from and also beeing able to scroll and select different music selection only using two assigned keys (like this "Music Selection: Pop <-Rock-> All").

I know its already possible to change and select music selection, however I would prefer if it was possible to have as many functions (preferable option) shown directly on the silverjuke "desktop" - avoiding menys and mouse clicking!

first: Welcome aboard - and thank you for your praise!

To your question: I'm not sure if you know about this: You can add buttons to select the music selections to the skin, sth. like <button onclick="program.musicSel='70s music';"> should do the job (the button will select the music selection 70s music in this example).

Showing the currently selected music selection is a separate display is currently not possible - currently there is no option to render text outside the display.

Regarding the remove control: From Silverjuke V2.52beta1 on, you can create scripts and assign them to shortcuts - maybe this will also help you.

Ok, thanks alot will have to take a look into scripting someday. Seems to increase the options further for personal adjustments of silverjuke.
So if it will be possible to assign scripts to shortcuts, that might be just what I need.

This is very close to what I am attempting to do!

I want to write a small menu application to load "Music Selections" into Silverjuke while in KIOSK mode with the search feature turned off.

The reason I want to do this via a script/program is to keep the user interface as clean as possible when choosing a "music selection". I have built a jukebox and the only interface I have is buttons. I do not want the user to use a mouse or keyboard.

Any suggestions or references that would help me to accomplish my goal will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
