Fade to Pause?

Is there a way of performing a fade to pause and fade back to play again so that my house computer can announce messages with Silverjuke without sounding so abrupt?

Well, pressing pause/play (or using the corresponding command line options) does not start/stop the music immediately, the music is faded up/down about 500 ms. However, I think, you're talking about a longer fading time -- well, currently this is not possible. But maybe we'll add such a feature. For your concrete purpose - would you need this feature only for the command line?

er no actually that's cool, um I haven't actually used the command line yet as I'm still in the middle of switching over from a rival Jukebox player to Silverjuke - 500ms fade to pause I would imagine is great.

I've also posted too fast and so I must correct myself: The concrete fading times are:

Pause -> Play: 100 ms
Play -> Pause: 100 ms
Play -> Stop: 300 ms
Play -> Go to another track: 100 ms

However, all times are exactly meant not to let the sound stop/start too abrupt and to avoid your boxes and your ears crash.
