If I want to do a search on the number 8 (like 80's), I can't type the '8' in. All the other numbers from 0 up to 7 and 9 are working fine.
The number 8 is not defined as a short-cut or to any other function.

I don't experience the problem you describe.
Maybe it is related to the skin you are using.
Can you reproduce the problem with the default skin?

I have the same issue, I can type the number 8 from the separate number keypad - I have tried changing the skins to no avail.
