I hope some one can help, I know it's something stupid I've done but cannot for the life of me figure it out. On my HTPC I upgrade software from an old version to the latests, however now it will not store my registration details and is constantly creating SQL errors. My icon loads a central database and INI file which is also used by my pc upstairs now that's working fine using a different account however the one down stairs is not. they both have same rights to the folder on my server these are stored.
Any help please
SQL errors

Re: SQL errors
[EDIT]
What error's do you get?
A screenshot might be helpful.

Re: SQL errors
Forget sql errors for a moment the fact it's not storing my registration details is probably the same reason I'm getting the sql errors. Where do your registration details get stored? If I can work out why that's not working i feel that would fix sql errors I'm guessing it's a rights issue some where as this account does not have administration rights

Re: SQL errors
Hi locka,
Settings for SJ are default stored in "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Silverjuke" (windows box).
Can you share some more info about your setup?
What OS version are you running SJ on?
What OS is used for sharing the database (is it windows box or a NAS?)
Some things to try:
Did you try to run SJ with admin rights?
Can you access the share while browsing to it?
If so, can you open/read/write to a file on that share?
What happens when you start SJ without using a special ini file and shared database?
Does this work?
Check for typo's in the path to access the share (try using "/" instead of the "\" in the path statement).
Just a few hints for finding the cause of your problem..

Re: SQL errors
Thanks for the advice
It runs on Windows 7 all music and database is running on my old windows 2003 server. My pc upstairs also on Windows 7 does not get an issue. Both are member of the same group that gives rights to the folder containing global.ini and the database. I'm going to play around with the rights tonight
Ps that folder path is that where the registration details are stored because it will not save them on the new version
