OK, that I didn't know. Sorry for the false alarm.
Has this been changed since version 3.x?

It is possible there to give this function settings?

Hi SJ Team,
I've checked how V3.4.02 works on this matter:
When you click on skip to next >> or skip to previous << and also when you use the toggle/play button it does use fade in/fade out.
Even when you hit the space bar to pause the playback the music gets faded out or faded in when resuming.
In the old and new manual it says nothing about this behavior, so on that point I must stand corrected.
But while using SJ 3.4.02 I was right. Fading does occur (using default skin and no scripts loaded)
Somehow this undocumented feature must have slipped into the source code.
I would love to see it come back in a future version of SJ.
Beside this nice (and now missing) feature there is a small request.
When you start SJ 16.x without an existing ini file, the music volume defaults to a value of 240 (ini file:volume=240).
That's a bit loud (the lady of the house says)!!!
Could you change the default value to a more comfortable level?
Many thanks for all the effort the SJ Team puts into Silverjuke.

Re: Brand new Beta: Silverjuke 16.3.4beta out now for Windows, Mac and Linux!
Ahh, okay.
In fact, older Silverjuke-Versions used Micro-Fadings of some Milliseconds on several cirumstances eg. pressing on "Pause". However, due to easier cross-platform portability we had to get rid of them, at least for the moment.
These old Micro-Fadings have nothing to do with the normal "music flow" with crossfades etc. So, of course, they're nice, but do not really add functionality.
Best regards,
Your Silverjuke-Team
