Visualization - Static Image

Hi,

Instead of displaying a visualization - is there any way of displaying a static image (say a jpg image) instead?

Silverjuke has no build in "still" visualization, however, as external visualizations can be used, such a feature could be realized as a module.

An Alternative may be to use the "Karaoke-Prompt" for this purpose: Here, you can use any background image.

I was looking into this (external visualization modules) yesterday but could not find any more info about the API anywhere in manual or on the forum. Only that in the past SJ recognized a only handful of specific modules (Milkdrop, AVS, SteveVis), but that post was from 2005 (!). Any pointers?

Hi SilverEagle,

since version 3.00, Silverjuke the BASS module for its visualizations. BASS_SFX supports the following visualization types:

- Sonique
- Winamp
- Windows Media Player
- BassBox

Although there are still some issues with the visualizations, we believe it is going better than our old implementation of Silverjuke 2.x

Sorry, I was unclear and or confused, I meant the level above that: I want to add a new module at the same level as video/visualizations/karoke. But I guess your answer implies that is only possible with a rebuild?

I have found two visualizations that will show pictures stored in the My Pictures directory on your pc - they are called Picture Viz I and Picture Viz II and can be downloaded here:
