Hi all,
As per the forum message above - I had it all working - but then it stopped. But I have now got it back up and working.
This may or may not affect you so thought I would flag it up for you.
(Remember I am running XP) Under folder options in the control panel I noticed that the mp4 extension and the avi extension was associated with the Quicktime player. I then went into the advanced settings and changed this first to Silverjuke - but this didn’t work - then changed it to Windows Media Player and now it all works again.
I also took note of the guests comments above on the SJ forum: "I had the same problem, then I realized that silverjuke was recognizing my mp4 files as audio files, due to the being an audio file supported by silverjuke with the mp4 tag. Under advanced settings I removed the extension from one of the audio file sections ( I can't remember which one, but have a look and you find it). The add mp4 to the video extensions list. And hopefully it will work. It did for me" I do have a slightly annoying Haali Media Splitter icon appearing in my taskbar everytime a video is playing - I'm not sure how to get rid of this - but will have a look later - I have also noticed that in the control panel I now have something called VP6 and VP7 decoder settings?
Now it all seems stable and after reboots etc it all stil works.
Cheers
Chris

Programs -> Haali media splitter -> Media splitter settings
Tab Options, option Interface -> Show Tray Icon.
All in all I found Haali Media splitter needed for Silverjuke even if files played OK in Windows Media Player without it. Weird.
For anyone wanting to try it: you can download the splitter straight from if you do not want to install a huge codec pack.
