playlist (now playing) size

I have done a few searches & come up blank on changing the size of the playlist size.
I'm using a mac.
I can change the size of the text & the columns etc but nothing in the playlist window seems to be able to be edited?

I believe this is what the person in this thread was looking for also.

The solution offered does not affect the "now playing window" only the library window.

Hello Guest,

the font of the playlist belongs to the skin and cannot be edited by the program.

However, you can use skins with larger font sizes, eg. Silveriness Touched, see viewtopic.php?t=203

Yep tried a few skins, none really have a "playing now window" with suitable font size for a party.
For instance my font style in my library display area is set to 23p & I would guess the playing now windows font size is fixed to around 8p.
I checked out some of the xml code in a skin & couldnt find any reference to font size in that area. However i am not a coder just have enough of an idea to get lost.
Anybody got any suggestions?

Thanks for that, worked a treat. Us folks approaching 50, fully boozed, can now see what is queued .

You did mention the "As the number of lines will not fit anymore in the available area....." I was just wondering if there is something that can be edited in the skin to change that size.
Also, I now realise that is thread is a skin related thread, not program, so if you want to move it to the skins category , maybe I could continue it over there.

Do you know that with the basic (Silverness) skin you can click on the small triangle below the playlist to expand it?

Besides that you could edit any skin the way you want, but note that making the playlist larger often requires many (tens up to hundreds) related small positional changes. Thing like graphics for borders, buttons, text elements, all often have independant hardcoded screen positions. It is possible to layout them relative to an invisable "box" where adjusting only the box would be sufficient, but very few skins are build that way.

(And yes: if you want specific help with modifying a skin better better post a thread in the skinning forum.)
