Greetings
I am currently in process of researching hardware and getting things lined up to build custom Digital Jukebox kiosks. I ran across Silverjuke years ago when I first started to tinker with touchscreen kiosks and haven't found anything better yet!
Only issue is I am not really willing to run Microsoft Windows or Mac OSX on the jukeboxes. I plan on running a minimalist linux distro (still unsure which). Is there any chance there will be a Silverjuke port for linux in the near future? This would be a great feature all in itself!
Thank you much for your consideration.

Hello Guest,
due to licensing (and internal) problems, there is no native Linux version - but you can give Wine & Co a try.

Sadly that isn't a very good option for the box. As I have had stability issues with Wine in the past. This is going to be used commercially (which I hope you do liscensing for multiple computers - manufactured and resold with Silverjuke).
How about Windows CE? Does Silverjuke run under that and very stable?
Thanks!

LINUX:

Windows CE:
I tried successfully to install Silverjuke with the "Remote Control Modul" on a netbook with a minimal Windows OS. Unfortunately it wasn't a Windows CE, but a Windows OS with least 250MB. All you need is to install the missing decoders for music separately if needed. MP3 and WMA is already included.
Very nice, you can control your jukebox with a small, wireless netbook. Better you have a look in Ebay for a "touch screen kit" to modify the netbook or use an "hand tablet".
