so i downloaded the trial to check out the karaoke but all my files play too loud. i have the volume slider all the way down and my computer volume on the first notch and it's pretty loud. is listenable except i can't use a mic with my system volume so low.
is this normal? am i missing something? i went into preferences and played with auto volume controls with little effect. so far this app is unusable for me.
i'm on mac os x sl, powerbook.
silverjuke is way too loud on my computer
Re: silverjuke is way too loud on my computer
Sounds funny. I would try some other settings for the soundcard, esp. I would try "Settings / Advanced / Further options / Audio-outoput: Use system volume".

mec_os, what Audio-Output do you have selected? I have a Windows setup, but I've found that if I select Default, it uses the System Volume when I have the Use System Volume option turned on. If I select an Audio Output directly, it sometimes bypasses the system volume and is very loud, much like you describe, and the system volume controls don't work.

one more idea: are you sure, no FX effect is enabled?

setting the further options to NOT use system volume works. thank you very much, now i can actually test this thing out.
last night i had resorted to redirecting the sound to a different app and controlling volume from there :P
again. thank you all for your help
