To Franky
Please don't ask such question...
Until now, I used 210 hours. Including drawing and design, ripping of the original karaoke discs and writing of the ID3 tags, ordering of all materials, testing the pc system and every thing else. Additional to that, my good friend Erik has made a plugin to silverjuke. This plugin mute the microphones with an external relay (signal from the LPT port), when the jukebox don't play, and when a normal mp3 file is playing. This prevent the singers to use the microphones, when karaokefiles is not playing. How many hours Erik has used for the plugin, is not known by me at this moment.

Hello baboonie,
Nice Juke, great work!
I stumbled on your "building journal" researching my own build...
I dont know if you will end up seeing this but I got a question for you.
What did you use for mic pre-amp? The solutions I have found are over-bloated on options and price. Yours looks simple and to the point.
Again great build.

Re: Karaoke Jukebox Project
Hello Paskoe
Actually you can not see how i made the audio system, because it's not build in the jukebox. The music from the jukebox come out as a line signal and goes into a mixer located away from the jukebox. The microphones also go directly to this mixer. And ofcause, the amplifiers and loudspeakers are connected to the mixer.
There are small relays on each microphones, which ground the signal (short the circuit), when the jukebox plays music and are paused (not playing). Even between each track. Only karaoke files opens the circuit, so the audience can use the microphones (see my reply from Oct 07).
In other words. I did not connect the microphones to the jukebox computer and do not use Silverjuke to regulate the volume for the microphones. The audience can not make any settings to the microphones - all are automated.
I hope you can use this answers.
