Hi.

I was having a look at my girlfriends s ipod yesterday. although i think ipod is incredibly annoying, i gotta say the menus look good.

there s one of my proposal for the now playing view.

I was also thinking about something else. i think that would be good to have in a corner, a box with the pictures of the cover of the upcomming tracks. i don t know if you see what i mean. if you ve already tried the ipod, i m sure you do

Do you think you could be able to add an option in the settings to display the ratings buttons ? (i m not using them personnally), and for the playing options (play now, last or next).

I still think that the seeking bar is not that nice. what do you think about a degrade of blue, like on an ipod ? Like blue to white ? And the same blue that there s around the top left button and the playlist

Ok, one more time, that was just few ideas, in order to improve this software...of course, not to critic only

I don't know neither your girlfriend, nor her IPod, but I agree that the menus are not so bad (the ones from the IPod, I mean)

Look's nice, but there is a major issue: in scripting language of SJ I'm really very limited in usage of images, and cannot deform or mirror the covers from the CD, or even change a image during run time.
I'm missing the "next song" information, which is a must for me.

Yeah, I see what you mean, even if I haven't seen this on my IPod (I have a IPod shuffle 2nd Gen ). I tried this before,but here once again, even if I can extract the cover images from the database, I have no possibility to show a image beside the cover image from the actually played song. This is limitation from Silverjuke, and I really hope that in one next version I will have the possibility to handle images as I can handle text (via ID's), but today: no way.

Nevertheless, I'm actually reworking the now playing screen, because me too, I'm not fully satisfied with it. But having little time actually (and also some other functions to be finalized (genre and group filters like artist, adding a Visualization button, and so on), it might take some time.

Theoretically this might be possible, but will request a lot of additional layouts, and I'm actually touching the limits (Silverjuke is limited to 49 layouts). And additionally is the creation of the rating buttons the reason why I started the skinning, so for me it's the basis and a must. If you want, you can modify this by yourself. It's not so difficult and if needed I can give you some help.

I just had a look on the IPod of my son (he has a real one ) You are right. This looks good. Will try to do something like this.

thanks one more time for the quick answer.
So if i understand well, You can't really do something more that we ve got actually. We really need a new silverjuke version...
i ll post something on the main orum for silverjuke developpers...

I'd love a new version, silverjuke is great but it s possible to make it even better...

Thanks for the seeking bar, it s not that big deal, but little details like this make the soft so much nicer...

Line 1224 RangeError: Bad Index [C:\Documents and settings/Steve/Application Data/Silverjuke/Graphite-ts_01_1.0_RC1

Any ideas please? Could it be that my index file resides on C:\mymusic.db ?

Thanks and love the look of the skin, just want to get it working!

Sorry, one more question, how do you activate the list view along side the album cover view? I cannot see a button to do this.

Hi Steve,

this looks strange for me. Can you please do an update of your database in the standard skin (with F5) and switching back to graphite-skin afterwards?

If it doesn't help, send me a mail with your mymusic.db in, so that I can try to better understand.

First of all you have to write the artists in a database. This you can do with

- right mouse button
- Tools
- Artist in file

Now you can switch on and off the list by pushing the Artist-button.

OK When I try that I get the following:

line 1116: TypeError: Tried to use Undefined as an object
C:/documents and settings/Steve/Application Data/Silverjuke/Graphite_1.0_RC1. I also get an error when I try to Rate a song.

Also when I start the application with the skin I get the folliwing:

I have refreshed my database, but will struggle to send it as it has 100,000 entries and the index file is approx 85meg
