Good point. Will be integrated in next update. Consider this as done.

BTW: You have in the actual version 0.55 a workaround: via the function "Change View" (Extra, Tools, Change View) you can also go to "Now Playing", but this takes 5 clicks to go from Album to Now Playing.
You can bind a key to this function via Right Click, settings, Advanced, Further Options, Scroll down to "Shortcut: Tool: Change View", double click on it and assign a key t it. (I used this to set the rating with my remote control).

Sure, just buy a alarm clock and make it ringing after 5 minutes of inactivity. When it's ringing, just click on "now playing"

No, seriously: I have no clue of how to get the trigger of inactivity from Silverjuke. If anybody out here can give me a hint of how to get the trigger, it should be easy to integrate this. But I have really no idea whether this is possible.....

Ok, I have just uploaded version 0.56 (see german forum).

New functions:
- "stay on top" added for all layouts (small needle on left top)
- fast forwind and backwind (10 sec per click)
- Layout "Now Playing" as Function in Extra Menu, so you can add a short cut on this.
- A new switch: "Artist"
With this you can show on the left hand side of the screen in the layouts "Album", "Cover" and "List" a list of all Artists recorded in Silverjuke. By clicking on a name Silverjuke will create automatically a filter and apply this.

2. WARNING: After every update of the Silverjuke database (adding songs, etc) you have to execute the function "Artists in File" (right mouse click, tools, Artists in file), so that the artists list will be updated too.

To stop the filter as before just click on the "x" near to the filter button.

remark: the sort sequence is not perfect yet. Special characters, upper/lower case is not handled correctly, here I have to do something later on.

I've just posted a new version of the Alu skin (see German forum: .

I have mainly worked on the Artist filter.

The Filter "A01" will now created by Silverjuke if it does not exist.

I haven't found till now a way to update the artists list automatically when the Silverjuke database is updated. If anybody has an idea: please let me know.

The changes:
- the sorting was corrected
- the words to be omitted for sorting are also taken in consideration for the Artists (The Beatles are located at "B").
- Added a "All" Button below the Artist list
- Clicking on the letters will also update the position of the Artist list.
- activ Artists is hioghllighted in the list
- during creation/update of the artist list a info window is shown on the screen. On small systems this update can take 1 minute or more.
- If filter "A01" does not exist, it is created.

Version 1.0 RC1 released.



ATTENTION: due to the fact that I'm using here functions coming from Silverjuke Version 2.52 beta 15, you need to install this beta version to use this skin. You can donwload it from .

After some problems with the artist-sorting in Version 0.58 I completly rewrote the routine, and with the great help form the team we not only solved the memory problem, but also increased the speed extremly.

New in this version is the "inactivity" function, where you can fix after how many minutes which Layout will be shown automatically.
Configuration via: "Settings", "Advanced", "Further options", "configuration of inactivity". (see below).

You can also now choose a directory for the file "artists.txt". This might be interessting mainly if you work with external harddisks, or via network.

As usual: please let me have your comments.

good for the innactivity thing...

i d like one thing : can you set the sensitivity to the artist menu when you use the button at the middle of the mouse. if you can set it in order to scroll it verticaly, that would be really good.
