Dear Guest,

thanks a lot for this message. I wasn't aware that Silverjuke can also play and handle songs without having them in the database ....

The error message has nothing to to with the beta version of Silverjuke, the only one to be blamed is me!

I've integrated a check for existence in the database. Will be corrected in Vers. 1.0 RC 2. Stay tuned.

I love the use of the ratings buttons in your skin but I would like to know is it possible to use images instead of text for the rating buttons?

In the skin below I have 8 buttons on the top right that will open different layouts and below them are five light green buttons that I hope to use for setting, displaying and changing the ratings of songs as I listen to them (the song in the photo has been given a 5 star rating in theory with all five lights lit) do you know if this is possible or not?

Ps. this skin is not an original but one I have adapted from a ‘winamp’ skin to work in SJ as I liked it so much... I may go further with it.

Apart from VistAct which seems to have gone down very well, I was wondering how the SJ forum feels regarding the use of skins & styles from other media apps & skins? ...Just a thought! Maybe a new thread?

No, I agree with you that using images will be the best way, but at the actual status of Silverjuke this is not possible. -team told me that they will take this perhaps for a future version, but today it is not possible.

First of all: looks really good your skin. Really good.

I understand your idea regarding the rating, and this was also my first idea when I've started with the rating idea. Problem is that Silverjuke scripting does actually only accept to change text during runtime on skins, so lighting up the the 5 green buttons/LEDs will not be possible (hopefully one day, but today (as per Vers. 2.52 beta 15): no (at least not as per my knowledge).
One idea I had was to use a character like a full square (like ASCII code 219) and to put this one in background of a box with a transparent window to create a graphic, but I didn't succeeded. If anybody has an idea on this: I will be happy.

Why not, I'm open to get inspirations from everywhere. Good idea to open a thread with ideas on skins/layouts based on existing soft, and perhaps we will create a little bit creativity to build up functions we are looking for...

Hi Cyril,

sorry for answering only now.

Yes I understood, but I have actually no idea how to do so. As per my knowledge there is today no possibility to use a scroll area for sections which are not defined by silverjuke itself. If anybody has an idea, I'm ready to test all...

Just released Vers. 1.0 RC2

changes:
- some minor changes in visrect
- inactivity check corrected
- Infodialog Artistlist corrected
- adding song without updating the database created an error: corrcted.

Thanks great skin, however some of the buttons are to small for my needs and others I have no use for. So I was thinking I will try editing the skin and remove and add buttons, however I find it difficult to make my own new buttons. Is there a easy way for doing this, some program that makes the green lines for you or something?
