Credit system and DDE

Thanks very much for this information. Most helpful. I believe the biggest problem I am facing is my lack of understanding of DDE.

I am using an application called Serial Link 3.0 http://www.nth-generation.com/seriallink.php
which allows the Serial Port input to sent via DDE to any other app (Silverjuke). There are 3 fields in the DDE set up of Serial Link. They are as follows:

Application - silverjuke
Topic - addcredit
Item - 1

I have tried many different combinations, have tried using the "Keyboard Wedge" option in this app to send the commandline "C:Program FilesSilverjukeSilverjuke.exe" --addcredit=1 etc etc

I know the problem is not with Silverjuke. I went through your DDE test that you posted, and it does work perfectly.

Is there any other way to do this, or any other simple app that can send the DDE commands to Silverjuke when data is received via the Serial Port?
