When using beta 9, When I select an album > select track I get a windows dialouge box up telling me the path to the mp3 and an OK button.

I do not get this windows dialouge box when using beta 8. Any ideas ?

Yikes... I left a debugging line in

New release beta9a in the top post, this is just beta9 without the annoying popup.

Allright Silver, i played a little bit arround with the v3 Beta 9, here are the bugs i found so far.

-- fixed
In kiosk-mode the search doesnt work as it should, if you try to add a song in the search window, a windows box pops up and ask to add the song before the skin self ask you to queue the song. In non kiosk mode the search and adding works as it should.

No highlight buttons on the keyboard if i push a key. Some covers dont show up, it only shows up a cd instead of the cover, i guess 1 out of 20 covers doesnt show up right.

some others things not specified as bugs.

borders arround covers take to much space for a 15" screen.

--next-- above the playlist doesnt look well, a "Playlist:" will look much better, in my opinion. (i can fix this by myself)

wishlist:

i want a timestamp (Playingtime of the song) also in the kiosk mode under the songinformation which is actually playing.

btw:

the new serch engine is awesome, its a way more easier to tap the songs then it was in v2.
i also like the borders arround the songlist, after tapping on a album.

if you need help with some graphics (highlighting the keyboardbuttons etc.) let me know, iam familiar with photoshop.

Is the missing cover in the mp3 or in a separate file? (Only external JPG's are currently supported, not PNG.)

I'll have a look, but remember there is a matching --more-- as well below the list.

Photoshop is not the problem (I thought I did the big left/right buttons rather nicely if I say so myself ). It's intercepting mouseclicks with a eventhook and redrawing part of the screen with new images with an alphachannel (which means you can't just draw them op top but have to redraw the complete layered image again for that area) which I am currently too lazy to implement...

And for the time being I won't put effort in mouse-over-highlighting, as that is something mouse-related and not relevant for a touchscreen.

Hi Silver,

the covers are integrated to the mp3 tag, most of them work but not all. ill try to retag the mp3s with missing covers tomorrow.

i would love a short highlight on the buttons of the keyboard after tapping on them,
it gives you a feedback that you hit the button right.

thanks for another great skin, to be honest, Silverjuke is just another mp3 player without your awesome skin.

I'd even prefer it if you left them like they are, the skin is the one that should be modified. If you can tell me what the difference is between the covers which are found and the ones which were not, I can probably fix it. Differences to look for:
- is cover in the MP3 but not tagged as a 'front-cover' image but as something else?
- is the cover in the album directory but is it not a JPG?
- are the problematic covers all on a separate drive, on a network share, inside a zip, etc?

I fully agreed with you. It will get there, it's just that it is not trivial to do right and I am just postponing the work. On the other hand I might be able to manage a shortcut which looks nearly the same and is a lot less work, I'll have to think about that a bit further.

I presume your touchscreen resolution is 1024x768? I changed the hardcoded minimal cover gap to 5 pixels (was 10) and played around a little with the userconfigurable sizes, with coversize=190 and coverfont=20 I ended up with this:

Could you display the JPG in the zip below (the forum resizes JPG's) on your monitor and tell me if it works for you?
