Glad to hear that! (Not only for you, but I shudder to think I would have to do OS-specific debugging...

Re: BlueTouch V3 beta
hey SilverEagle,
I am wanting to skip songs in kiosk mode, however only with a remote, not on screen. This way only the person with the remote can skip a song and not everyone else. This isnt possible, as when i disable skipping for kiosk mode, not only does it remove the button from the skin but it doesn't allow my remote to skip. Is there anyway of removing the button from the skin so that when i allow skipping in kiosk mode silverjuke will think that the button is on the skin, however it really there for anyone to press, and then the remote will be able to skip tracks.
Thanks, this is a great skin by the way, cant wait for your next one

Unzip the skin (it is a zipfile) and open covers_update.xml in notepad or any other editor. Now change <if cond="editqueue"> into <if cond="!kiosk">. Save the file and put it back into the zip.
Now the prev/next functionality is always (as long as you allow it in kioskmode) available using the keyboard or your remote but not on screen.

Hey SE, back with another report
- There's some funkiness with the Limit Tracks option. It doesn't work in Kiosk mode unless the 'In windowed Mode Apply the same restrictions as in kiosk Mode' is selected, in which case it limits in both modes. That option is basically functioning as a global on/off switch for the Limit Tracks feature.
- The skin doesn't respect the Display: Preferred Cover selection in the Advanced: Futher Options section. Is that a bug or a permanent effect of your new image system?
Great work, as always.

I tried but it works OK in beta 11. But this has been a bug in the past, are you using the latest and greatest?

Laziness on my part, I did not implement all bells and whistles SJ natively knows. But I'll have a look into implementing this one. (It's just a shame really, it would be perfectly alright to use SJ's mechanism, nothing wrong with that, it is just that is limited to the default workarea layout. I'm still hoping one day they will open up the covers to the scripting, but I'm not counting on it).

hi SilverEagle,
I am wanting to use the karaoke mode, however instead of showing karaoke songs I am show hit lists, such as i have an album called 90s hits with song in it and these albums show up when i click the karaoke button. I was wondering if you would be able to send me a picture of the buttons without the microphone so that i can have a button that says hits or something like that. An also some help on where to place the image so that the microphone button will be replaced.
Thanks

Re: BlueTouch V3 beta
Hi Guest,
You are in luck: I am a very lazy guy. Meaning there are no separate buttons for all functions, it is just always the same button with an overlayed transparent icon
.
The overlay you need is icon_karaoke.png. The *.sjs is just a zip file with another extension, use any unzipper to extract the file. Modify it and put it back in the zip and your are ready.
Note that to edit the *.png files you need something supporting transparency, MS-paint is not sufficient.
Have fun,
SilverEagle

Hey,
Thanks, that was me that questioned about the icon. I should really sign in every time I comment. I have photoshop so it should be fine. Thanks for the help, hopefully I will be able to get it up and running. I just finished building a jukebox and am using this skin, I love it. I'll post some pictures sometime soon

No worries mate, you'll get a civilized answer here even if you disguise yourself
> I have photoshop so it should be fine.
One thing about photoshop and PNG's and SJ: SJ uses a 1-bit border (I always use 0/255/0-green) to mark the picture edge. If you bleed that color into the picture (happens to me always with rescaling) and make it 100% transparent, you cannot see it in photoshop but SJ wil complain it does not understand the file. Just magic-wand-select all 100% transparent pixels in the PNG, fill them with pink (or whatever), delete them again and save the file. Now the pixels are invisible pink instead of invisible green and all is well.
Cheers,
SilverEagle
