Hello Lucky,

we've just checked this issue: Yes, the maximal number of layouts per skin is 49.

And: No, currently, you cannot switch the layout using a scripting command, however, some user in the german forum have created a workaround for this, see viewtopic.php?p=6201#p6201 - however, we have not checked the details of this method.
