I have an old laptop with Windows 2000 and Remote Desktop. I control Silverjuke running on a remote PC under XP and I can choose where I want the sound to be output.

it would be great to have an old laptop hidden near the stereo that "streams" the music that is played from another laptop where silverjuke is running.

the only solution i know is to buy a wireless music system from logitech (). but its too expensive for me and i don't like the idea of plugging an usb antenna to the "moving" silverjuke laptop

I am searching for a software that provides the following:

- Installing a sound card driver on PC #1
- Run a little client on PC #2
- Linking these two PCs together over Ethernet

Now, the virtual sound card can be selected in eg. Silverjuke on PC #1 for the prelistening feature. The little client on PC #2 will receive the audio data via ethernet and will play it with its own soundcard.

All this would allow me to use my laptop as a second audio-output ;-)

Is this possible - and does any software exists that provides this functionality? Or have I made a mistake?
