I just downloaded and installed the newest version of Silverjuke, I've been using an older version for a while now (1.19 I think?). It's been serving me amazing for a long time!
Main reason I installed the new version is I was having some issues getting some of my songs to play, it seemed to only affect songs that were encoded at a higher bitrate (I decided to switch from 128 to 192kbps). After installing the new version it worked great.
But then I noticed a very serious problem - every time the playlist completes (the last song finishes and there is no other song after it) a loud obnoxious noise plays and then a blue screen comes up:
A fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:FF0EC9AF in VXDMIXER(06) + 0000A80F. The current application will be terminated. Press any key to terminate application....etc, etc.
I have recreated it multiple times with the same results. I am running this on a Windows 98SE machine. It happens in both regular and kiosk mode. After the blue screen clears silverjuke is shutdown and I can't get it to start up again and the system is usually worthless until I shutdown (by manual power button).
Once I restart and run silverjuke again it gives me "The following errorous objects" dialog. The object it lists is: silveriness-touched-1.50.sjs#zip:main.xml.
Not sure what's causing the issue...any ideas? I assume it's fairly confined to a Windows 98 issue, but I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be 98 compatible also, right?
Thanks!
